Concussion Training

Concussion Training Course and Information

Minnesota recently passed a law regarding athletes and concussions. As of September 1, 2011  ALL  coaches, trainers and any parents that will be coaching youths in sports are required by law to take a training course on keeping the athletes safe from concussions.  It is a FREE Online course which takes approximately 30-35 minutes.  You will learn how to:
      - Understand a concussion and the potential consequences of this injury,
      - Recognize concussion signs and symptoms and how to respond,
      - Learn about steps for returning to activity (play and school) after a concussion, and
      - Focus on prevention and preparedness to help keep athletes safe season-to-season ( info taken from www.cdc.gov website)

I have included the links to the CDC  website.  The first link is information about concussions and the 2nd link is the training course.  Please print the certificate when finished and you will need to provide Rosemount Traveling Softball with a copy prior to helping at Winter Dome Training or coaching during the  Spring/Summer and  Fall softball season.  This training course will need to be repeated each year.
