Registration Information

 
Registration:  January-February
Season:  May- July
Participants:  Girls
Eligibility:  Ages 10U-18U – open to ISD#196 residents
Age is determined by birthday on or before January 1 in the year of the summer season. Proof of age is required to participate in tournaments.
 
                 AGE BRACKETS ARE CLASSIFIED AS
                           10U – 10 and under
                           12U – 12 and under
                           14U – 14 and under
                           16U – 16 and under
                           18U - 18 and under
  
Equipment:  Bases, balls and catchers equipment provided.  Players must purchase their own sliding pad, sliding shorts, glove, helmet with chin strap, cleats (non-metal) and bat.
 
Try-outs:  Try-outs for the Spring/Summer Season are held in the Early Spring (Feb/Mar).

Traveling Softball holds try-outs to allow participants to demonstrate their abilities at an intermediate to advanced level of play. Try-outs are held to determine team placement for the Spring/Summer League.  Players are evaluated by neutral parties who rate  players and teams are formed accordingly.

Try-outs are not held for the Fall Ball Season.  The RTSB  Board and coaches strive to create equally balanced teams for growth and development in the Fall Ball program.

 
Fee:   The fee for the Spring/Summer season includes:  registration to Rosemount Traveling Softball, 2 or 3 Rosemount hosted tournaments, 1 outside tournament, and uniform, which consists of a jersey, pant and a pair of socks. 
    Additional socks and uniforms may be purchased at an additional cost. 
 
The fee for the Fall season inludes: registration to Rosemount Traveling Softball and a uniform jersey.
 
 Please note that additional fees may be incurred dependent on team success at the State Qualifier, State and National Tournaments or if the team decides to play in additional tournaments.  Example: gate fees, hotel accomadations, trading pins etc.
 
 
Volunteer Requirements:    Parents are expected to work a set amount of hours at one of the Rosemount hosted tournaments.  In 2009, this requirement was 4 hours per child in the program.  The requirement for the upcoming Spring/Summer Season has not yet been determined.  To insure the hours are worked, all parents provide a check (amount TBD) to the coach/team manager, which is returned upon completetion of their volunteer hours.
